The past few weeks have flown by. Edinburgh has started to get pretty Christmassy, which annoys me because I feel like it's still too early to get my Christmas on. My friend says that I'm a grinch. I'm not. I love Christmas but I get really frustrated with the hype starting earlier and earlier every year! I will not even consider my Christmas shopping until December arrives.

My beautiful & very talented friend Sara sent me one of her Waiste beanies last week and I have literally lived in it. IT'S AMAZING! I urge you all to take a look at the Waiste Autumn/Winter collection, it's too good.

It's been a good couple of weeks; I had a lovely birthday and got to see all my besties last weekend. I do feel like I'm getting on a bit, though I'm still getting getting ID'd regularly (this used to be a pain but I'm secretly enjoying it now). Also discovered some deep love for Justin Bieber which, for some strange reason, I feel the need to tell everyone. Just going all Caroline Flack on you. So with my exceptionally busy couple of weeks and most of my spare time being consumed with Bieber-related activities, I've not really had chance to do any outfit posts- which upsets me a little. Long time no see!

I've had a pretty mental few weeks. I won't bore you with detail but, to be honest, I just could not be bothered with blogging, especially when I knew that my posts would just be endless paragraphs of emotional nonsense, ha! I spoke to a lovely girl on Twitter the other day who has the same 'worry-about-everything' mentality as me & we made an agreement to be more positive since it's a new month. So I'm back and I'm being positive!!

I still haven't found somewhere I'm 100% happy with to do outfit posts. I loved doing them outside through the Summer so I've sort of been putting off doing them inside. I'm fully aware that I'm breaking one of the biggest blogging rules by taking pictures in a 'busy' (read cluttered) room - so apologies for that but I literally don't have a bare wall ANYWHERE!

I moved in to my new flat at the weekend so I've been super busy unpacking and settling in. It's proving quite difficult to find a little area to take outfit pics and my trusty photographer is over 100 miles away - waaa- so it might be a while until I can get that sorted. I don't suppose anyone wants to buy me a tripod..? I've taken a few snaps around the flat for this post, so you can have a nosey at where I'm living :p

I've had major problems with my website over the last two weeks, it has completely slowed down and a few of you got in touch to say you couldn't access the store. I know it's so frustrating visiting a site which doesn't work properly and it's definitely not something I want Raspberrygrape to be known for. I apologise for the inconvenience and I've literally sat at my laptop all day working on a brand new site for you all! If everything goes to plan it will be launched tomorrow evening and I'm trying to spread the word on Twitter, so if you could help me out I'd be extremely grateful.

I got back from my holiday a few days ago, which was really lovely. Unfortunately I have come back to mountains of stress regarding the flat i'm supposed to be moving in to next week. I'm going through a bit of a shitty time in general, so I haven't really felt much like blogging. Seemingly my moody face in these pictures portrays that well...lol!

I decided to dye my hair a little darker, I feel like I'm taken more seriously when I'm brunette and I'm going to be on a major job hunt come next weekend...fingers crossed it brings me more luck than the blonde did!

I'm also on a spending ban right now (could my life get any worse?!) so this jumper was the last purchase for a long while. It's from Primark and cost £8! I don't usually shop in Primark for clothing (mainly underwear and shoes) but I actually quite like a lot of their knitwear and it's always super cheap! I picked up the BEST fitting white bra from there too, which I can't really show you as it would be a bit inappropes.

I've never owned a body before; this one is from the ASOS sale, actually, it isn't something I'd usually go for - I've always been put off bodies due to the worry of getting a VPL. I initially tried it on with jeans and a bodycon skirt but unfortunately my VPL theory was proven. So, it's not really that versitile as I only have a couple of 'under-garments' that I can team it with. HOWEVER it is so pretty isn't it? I wanted something bright for my holiday as I'm always drawn to grey and black, so this will do nicely.

How to wear: BODY CHAINS!

Body chains are one of those items that you see on other people and admire, but don't necessarily consider for yourself. I know that when I first saw one - on Rihanna- I LOVED it but decided it wasn't 'me' and that I probably couldn't pull it off. I think a lot of people probably feel the same, maybe it is down to the fact that they stray from 'normal' when it comes to our usual pieces of jewellery?

So I forgot about the body chain for a little while, until Rihanna popped on to my screen once again with her beautiful boaty snaps and her glistening body chain. I had to make one.

This post is to give you a few ideas on how to wear a body chain and prove that you don't HAVE to be Rihanna - though it would be wonderful - to pull it off! The chains seen below will be going live on the Raspberrygrape website this week :D

I've been dying to post about this jacket ever since it arrived at my house on Thursday. HOW AMAZING IS IT?? I knew it had to be mine as soon as Sara launched her new jacket collection, Waiste, just over a week ago; it's most likely the best purchase of the summer for me. I love denim jackets and do actually own a few already (probably have to get rid of those now as they're not going to be getting much attention) but this one is just so unique in comparison to most of the generic rubbish on the high street.

I haven't made a spelling mistake in the title of this post - well I have but it is intentional- my sister can't say flatforms and everytime she tries, it comes out as 'flatflorms'. Boring story for you there but I didn't want you to think I was atrocious at spelling...

These 'flatflorms' are the ones that I featured in my 'Wishlist' post last week. I caved. It was worth it!

I went to the Moy show on Friday; a very outdoorsy event held up here in the Highlands (imagine a lot of tartan, Barbour and other Rah-type goodies). I found this dress on a fab little stall full of tie-dye bags, maxis and crops (my kinda thing). I would've gone crazy and bought a lot more, but I was sensible...ish.

It wasn't raining today, YEESSS, so Soph and I managed to get pics outside.

I have big issues with this skirt; it's supposed to be asymmetrical (like a weird diagonal shape) but it makes me looks so dumpy! I've turned it round so it's more of a dipped hem style, still not too sure on it though. Having some body/clothes problems at the moment. I'm going on holiday at the end of the month so hopefully I can tone up a little by then!

Hellooo!

I've spent most of my day working on new products for the site so I wanted to include one of them in today's post. The Gunmetal Hand Harness will be added to the site this week and will cost £4.40 (that's including free UK delivery as always ;))

I've been considering doing a video, to talk you through some of my products and really just put something a bit different on my blog. I get bored easily so I'm always looking for new things to do. Let me know if that's something you would be interested in seeing!

Getting Waisted

I went mad for a bit of DIY last night; cutting up old pieces that I was going to send to charity. One of my chosen subjects was this old aztec crop tee. I love anything backless (my back is probably my favourite feature, lol) & I thought this would be a good tee to transform! To be honest, I wouldn't really wear this outfit as it is (add some tights and a chunky knit maybe) unless I was going for a night out. I'd definitely have to put a bandeau underneath though, as the sleeves now fall down a little TOO far...

I really wanted to make an effort to post today so I could ramble on about Waiste (hence the post title). You may or may not have heard that lovely Sara launched her range of customised jackets this weekend. I managed to get on to the site this afternoon and O-M-G they're amazing! Granny Knit

Helloooo! Today's post is with my new camera, yey! I've been using my sister's Canon for the past couple of months (as well as my ancient Kodak & iPhone) so it feels great to finally blog from my own 'proper' camera. I managed to get myself a refurbished Fujifilm for just under £100 - which suited me fine as I am trying (but failing) to save money for my move back down to Edinburgh in Sep. I don't have a tripod -yet- & didn't fancy balancing cammy on a dodgy brick outside, so I'm afraid I'm back in doors for now!

I wanted to post about this beauty I got from eBay; I'm a sucker for a granny knit and we aren't having much of a summer (well not in Scotland anyway) so it'll get a lot of wear ;)

Oops, the Disco Pants are back...although they're looking a little more charcoal-grey today.

I've matched them with my new oversized galaxy print tee, which you might've seen me gushing about on Instagram. You can get it from this seller on eBay for £13 including delivery (from Korea!). It arrived in a week, amazing!

You've probably seen this tee on many other blogs but I couldn't resist doing my own post. I've styled it a little differently to previous bloggers (Kim looks FAB in hers...) for more of a casual summery look!

I've been after a pair of cycling-short-legging-hotpant-things for so long and have struggled finding them, mainly because I'm not too sure what they're actually called. I spent a while browsing eBay and after initially finding a good amount of risque under-garments (probably my own fault for searching 'lycra hotpants'), I found these! They're the perfect item for me, as I like short shorts but would never usually dare going bare legged!

If you haven't yet heard of Redrock, it's time you knew all there is to know about their 'bitchin' vintage and handmade clothing'. I came across them about a month ago and have sat and made mental shopping baskets on a weekly basis (i'm obsessed with clothes, ok?!).

DIY, Y NOT?

So far this summer I've gone crazy for tie-dye, chopping up all of my clothes and now, STUDDING EVERYTHING.

I've seen so many spiked clothes/shoes (usually VERY overpriced) that I love, so it made sense to just utilise the things I already own for a bit of DIY.

I bought these spiked studs from eBay, from seller LA_online (sorry no link cause I'm phone-blogging). They cost just under a tenner and literally took a day to arrive! Brilliant!

One of my favourite blogs is effiesmakeupbox, written by lovely Heather. Heather is the queen of customisation & has inspired a lot of my outfits (chopping-my-tshirts-to-bits sort of thing). As well as her amazing DIY pieces, she frequently posts wearing camo items. I've wanted something camo for a while and was browsing eBay the other day, when I came across this BEAUT! It is a man's ex-navy shirt/jacket and I was a bit worried it would completely swamp me, being the short arse that I am, but actually it isn't half bad! It cost me £8, including delivery...BARGAAAINN.

I actually raided my Dad's wardrobe too, as he has a lot of bits like this but all of his clothes are large (TOO large for me). He did offer me his green camo shirt, which I then said I would sell on eBay instead. So if you're a bit taller and fancy something similar to what I'm wearing, let me know before I stick it on eBay :)

I went for some drinks last night & here's the outfit I wore. Sorry it includes items you've seen before but my naughty disco pants were after some attention and my cat tee just goes with everything! Last night was the first time I wore the disco pants out, it went well (although I spent most of the night worried that I was going to rip them). Pictures arent the best today - sorry! Still on the hunt for a new camera...

Thanks to Sara for the genius title of this post.

You may look at this oufit and think it's a bit of a joke. To be honest, I had that idea in mind when I put it together, but then I realised I have actually worn it (or atleast a similar combination) before...out and about on the streets of Edinburgh. Sometimes I can be embarrassing to be seen with...

Anyway, the reason I stuck on my trusty Moomin tee is 'cause Megan uploaded a pic of a Moomin mug on to instagram (whilst wearing very geek-chic glasses) and it inspired me to pretty much copy her theme. Moomins are COOL, ok??

Despite the awful weather, I've managed to have a pretty good week. I graduated on Friday, so I can now officially put 'BA Hons' after my name (not that I probably ever will as it's a bit pretentious isn't it?) I was so tempted to blog another outfit with my new disco pants, but I didn't want to bore you all. Megan and I agree that life would be best if we could wear them ALL THE TIME!

Anyway... this look is particularly festival-esque. I'm not going to any festivals this year, and to be honest I've only ever been to Rockness, so I can hardly make out that I'm a massive festival goer. I do really love the festival look though, if I had to put myself in to a fashion category that would be it!

I went on a bit of a hill climb for this post, so I thought I would share the descent with you all...LOL.

The shorts I have on are a cheeky DIY, I bought them a while back but got a bit bored of them, so I shopped the hem and dip-dyed them purple, what do you think?

I have wanted disco pants for an AGE. It seems everyone owns them and I felt a pang of jealousy whenever I read a new blog post featuring them! But from today, things have changed because now I OWN DISCO PANTS TOO!!! These beauties are from Glamorous, rather than AA as I could not justify spending that amount of cash. I wasn't sure what to expect as they were a lot cheaper, priced at £29.99 however I am so impressed! I went for a size 10 as I have quite a big bum & hips and they fit like a dream! Get yourself over there if you want a very decent dupe!
